Fabulous Burmese Padouk sideboard / cabinet from the fantastic Victorian era in excellent condition. This outstanding piece has a serpentine front, two doors with working lock and key and a single fixed shaped shelf inside. The raised gallery to the back has carvings and piercings depicting foliage, vines and figures. The front and sides are profusely carved with further foliage, vines and figures with pierced panels to the doors and the sides. The upright pillars that hold the doors are carved with mythical heads and end in lions feet with a carved shaped apron along the front and sides. This is an impressive piece of furniture with great colouring and patina that would look amazing sitting under your flat screen housing consoles/ boxes with remote access through the pierced panel. This is a truly attractive item that will look stunning wherever it is placed.
