Handsome Edwardian Monk’s bench / hall seat / settle made from solid oak in excellent condition with amazing patination. This is a very decorative item with arches and columns carved into the back rest and panelled front. The seat lifts to a very clean interior which provide storage for boots, shoes, bags etc. This bench can be transformed into a side table when the backrest is lifted and placed on the arms that are supported by beautiful barley twist supports. This is not only beautiful to look at, it is a very practical piece of history with amazing colouring and beautiful graining.
