A remarkable pair of 19th-century cast iron Carron boot scrapers in excellent condition. As with all antiques, they have their imperfections; one appears more weathered than the other, likely due to being kept outdoors, while its counterpart may have been indoors.
The Carron Company, an ironworks, was founded in 1759 along the River Carron, close to Falkirk in Stirlingshire, Scotland.
