Pierre Louis Détrier (French, 1822–1897) was born in Vougécourt, France, on July 25th, 1822. A student of Paul Raymond Gayrard, he debuted at the Salon in 1866 and earned recognition for his exceptional creations in bronze, clay, and marble.
